Maya has just started at a new college and has been given a locker. She needs to come up with a 3-digit locker code. 

Each digit must be a whole number from 0 to 9. 

She decides: 

• All digits must be odd numbers.  

• No digit can be used more than once.  

Work out how many different codes Maya can make.   

Answer: 

There are 5 odd digits: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 

1^st digit there are 5 choices 

2^nd digit there are 4 choices 

3^rd digit there are 3 choices 

5 x 4 x 3 = 60 codes
