A System Accountant bridges the gap between finance and technology. They are responsible for ensuring that your finance systems are fit for purpose, well integrated, and capable of supporting a growing business.

This role becomes particularly valuable during periods of change, such as implementing a new accounting system, upgrading reporting tools, or integrating acquisitions.

Workflow & Control Development

Designing and maintaining finance system workflows, controls, and automations.

Creating and refining dashboards, reporting templates, and data pipelines.

System Integration

Connecting finance platforms with other systems like CRMs, stock, or HR tools.

Month-End Automation Support

Improving the speed and accuracy of close processes through automation.

Vendor & IT Liaison

Acting as the main point of contact for finance-related software or technical issues.

User Training & Enablement

Training finance and operational users to get the most from tools and processes.

Change & Transformation Support

Often contributes to wider finance transformation or integration projects.
