Amber is eating her breakfast and looking at the ingredients list on the muesli.  

The box contains 800g of muesli.  

In the muesli:  

• 45% of the mass is rolled oats,  

• 25% of the mass is seeds,  

• the mass of dried fruit is 2/5 of the mass of seeds,  

• the remainder is almonds.  

Calculate the percentage of almonds in the muesli.  

Answer:  

Rolled oats = 45%  

Seeds = 25%  

Dried fruit = 2/5 x 25% = 10%  

Total = 45% + 25% + 10% = 80%  

Almonds= 100% – 80% = 20%  

Answer = 20%
